Eric S. Weiss is the founder and Chief Investment Officer for Blockchain Investment Group. As CIO, Eric leverages his deep knowledge of bond trading, venture capital and internet entrepreneurship to identify high value generation investments in the blockchain hedge fund space.
Eric began his career as a US Government bond trader at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. After earning his MBA from Columbia Business School, Eric joined the Private Equity and Venture Capital Division of GE Capital as a Director in the internet business space. While in this role, a portfolio company, Internet Capital Group (ICG), pursued Eric to join as a Director of Investments in business-to-business internet companies. Eric also served as ICG’s board representative for a number of portfolio companies. Eric moved on from ICG and joined Stripes Group as a founding Principal, identifying and leading investments in the online direct marketing space. Since that time, Eric has formed a number of technology based, internet marketing companies focused on lead-generation, search engine marketing and social media.
