Mathieu Chabran is a financial entrepreneur. He co-founded Tikehau Capital in 2004 with Antoine Flamarion, his former colleague at Merrill Lynch, by collecting an initial capital of €4 million. Mathieu began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1998, first in Paris within the Principal Investment team, then in London, in the High Yield Capital Market department. In 2002, he joined the Real Estate Debt Market team of Deutsche Bank in London. Mathieu moved to New York in 2018 to support the development of Tikehau Capital’s office in the United States. He holds degrees from the ESCP Business School in Paris and Sciences Po in Aix-en-Provence.
Tikehau Capital is a European pioneer in the alternative asset management industry, with over €30bn of assets under management and more than 600 employees across 12 offices in Europe, Asia and North America. Tikehau Capital specializes in private debt, real assets, private equity and capital markets strategies as well as multi-asset and special opportunities strategies. Tikehau Capital has been listed on Euronext Paris since March 2017.
Mathieu actively endorses social and philanthropic initiatives and partnerships, both personally and through Tikehau Capital. Since 2011, Tikehau Capital has collaborated with the mutual company CARAC to support non-profit and general-interest associations including Heart Surgery for Children of the World Association, Association Arc en Ciel, the Association for New Solidarities in the Face of Unemployment, the French Paralysis Association, the French firefighters’ mutual fund and the Pupils Orphans fund.
