Dave Fishwick is Head of Macro Investing at M&G Investments, and Fund Manager for the Episode discretionary global macro fund. Dave also serves as Co-Fund Manager of the UCITS III compliant version of the Episode strategy, the M&G (Lux) Episode Macro Fund, together with Eric Lonergan.
Dave has over 35 years of investment management experience, having joined Prudential Portfolio Managers (now M&G Investments) in 1987 as a European economist, and subsequently having responsibility for views on global bond and currency markets applied to multi-asset funds. In 1994 he re-located to PPM Australia, becoming Head of Fixed Interest and Asset Allocation Strategy in 1997. During this time he developed his ideas on market behaviour, designing the Episode strategy, philosophy and process that were implemented for the Life Fund of the Prudential Insurance Company upon his return to Europe in 1999.
Following the success of the mandate, the Episode Fund (Cayman) was launched in 2005, followed by the M&G Episode Macro Fund (UCITS III) in 2010.
Dave has a BSc in Economics from Brunel University, London. He also sings and plays in a band, and has recorded five CDs.
