Lauren is the Head of Americas Institutional Sales at Coinbase, the team responsible for developing and managing relationships with key institutions, corporates and high-net-worth individuals. In her time at Coinbase, Lauren has been integral to the rollout of key institutional client offerings beginning with Custody in 2018 and culminating in the recent debut of Prime in 2021. Prior to joining Coinbase, Lauren spent eight years at Credit Suisse on the Capital Introductions team in Hong Kong. She then became the Director for hedge funds at Credit Suisse based in San Francisco. Lauren holds a B.Mus. in French Horn Performance, a B.A. in Politics from Oberlin College and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at University of California Berkeley. Lauren took the first Blockchain class at the Haas School of Business, affording her the opportunity to learn from some of the brightest minds in crypto and become immersed in the possibilities of blockchain and crypto technology. The experience she gained over practically a decade at Credit Suisse and her education, primed her with the knowledge required to grow Coinbase Institutional. As one of the founding members of the institutional leadership team, Lauren strongly believes in the longevity of crypto as an asset class and blockchain as a platform that will change the future of finance.
