Our Story
From a Pandemic Idea to the World’s Largest Capital Introduction Network
iConnections was founded in April 2020 by Ron Biscardi and Christopher Altomare to keep the alternative investment industry connected when it could no longer meet in person. Their first event, Funds4Food, brought together 1,400 attendees and helped raise nearly $2 million for charity.
Today, iConnections is the global ecosystem where allocators, fund managers, and service providers discover opportunities, build relationships, and shape the future of investing, powered by a year-round platform and the Global Alts Conference series in Miami, New York, Singapore, and Paris.

Ron Biscardi is the CEO and Co-Founder of iConnections, the leading technology platform and event series connecting institutional allocators with fund managers. Ron launched iConnections in April 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, recognizing that the alternative investment industry needed a technology-driven solution to replace the face-to-face meetings that had been its lifeblood. Under his leadership, iConnections has grown to serve 6,000+ allocators and 1,400+ fund managers, representing over $50 trillion in capital. Ron oversees the company’s strategic vision, including the expansion to four flagship Global Alts events across three continents and the launch of Violet, the industry’s first agentic capital introduction tool.

His team has shipped features including Fundraising Intel, the Power Scheduler, Violet AI, and the mobile app that drives the on-site event experience. Chris leads a globally distributed engineering team focused on building technology that makes capital introduction more efficient and accessible.
