Global Alts Asia 2024 Survey
iConnections surveyed more than half of LPs who attended Global Alts Asia. For these managers, the top 5 strategies they’re monitoring for 2025 are: Equity Long/Short, Multi-Strategy, Relative Value, Global Macro and Systematic Quant. LPs may be preparing for potential heightened volatility across asset classes.
Their biggest perceived risks? Unknown tail risks, followed by geopolitical and macro events, as well as equity market performance.

With over 6,000 meetings booked already, strategies in demand are starting to emerge. Familiar names like Multi-strategy, Equity Long/Short, Event Driven, Private Credit and Global Macro lead the charge.
However, other more niche ones like Insurance Linked Strategies, Real Estate and Specialty Finance are also punching above their weight class (we look at the percent of total funds by strategy and percent of total meetings booked as of 12.13.24 to identify strategies “punching above their weight class”).
